Terms of service
Last updated
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Curiendo Platform websites, applications, learning services, creator services, the Curiendo app where applicable, and related offerings provided by Docyrus, Inc.
By accessing or using the services, you agree to these Terms where you have the legal capacity to do so. If you use the Curiendo Platform on behalf of a school, organization, company, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to act for that organization.
Additional agreements, order forms, school agreements, data-processing terms, creator terms, Public Library licenses, or other policies may apply to particular services.
1. Curiendo Platform services
The Curiendo Platform provides tools and services for curriculum management, learning design, educational content creation, review, scheduling, learning delivery, learning evidence, intervention, reporting, collaboration, publishing, licensing, and related educational activities.
Curiendo provides learner- and family-facing access to appropriate Curiendo Platform learning experiences and related family services.
Features may change as the services develop.
2. Accounts and access
Users must provide accurate information and take reasonable steps to protect their account credentials.
Schools and organizations are responsible for appropriately assigning memberships, roles, permissions, and access within their accounts.
Learner access may be created or managed by an authorized school, educator, parent, or guardian rather than through an independent adult account.
You may not access another person’s account, workspace, learner record, or information without authorization.
3. Educational responsibility
The Curiendo Platform can assist with educational creation, adaptation, analysis, recommendations, and feedback.
AI-generated or AI-assisted material may contain errors and should be reviewed appropriately before use, particularly where factual accuracy, assessment validity, age appropriateness, accessibility, rights, or learner safety are important.
Educators and authorized organizations remain responsible for educational decisions, approvals, assignments, interventions, and other decisions requiring professional judgment.
The Curiendo Platform should not be relied upon as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions concerning admission, discipline, diagnosis, special education classification, promotion, or similar matters.
4. Acceptable use
You may not use the Curiendo Platform to:
- Violate applicable law or regulation.
- Infringe intellectual property or other rights.
- Compromise or attempt to compromise the security of the service.
- Access information, accounts, or systems without authorization.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority.
- Distribute malicious software or interfere with service operation.
- Harass, exploit, threaten, or endanger another person.
- Create or distribute unlawful or seriously harmful content.
- Bypass platform safety, privacy, access, review, or school-governance controls.
- Use learner information for unauthorized commercial targeting, profiling, or advertising.
5. Child safety
The Curiendo Platform is designed to support age-appropriate educational use.
Users may not use the Curiendo Platform to facilitate inappropriate contact with children, public disclosure of children’s personal information or location, exploitation, targeted advertising to children, or other conduct that conflicts with learner safety.
Learner-facing commerce and advertising are not permitted.
Schools, educators, creators, and other authorized adults are responsible for using collaboration, publishing, and communication features in accordance with their obligations and Curiendo Platform policies.
6. User and organization content
Users and organizations may create, upload, adapt, publish, or submit content through the Curiendo Platform.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions necessary for the content you provide and for the actions you take with that content.
Subject to applicable agreements and ownership rules, users and organizations retain their rights in their own content. You grant Docyrus, Inc. the permissions reasonably necessary to host, process, reproduce, display, adapt, transmit, and otherwise handle that content for the purpose of providing the requested services.
Content created within an organization may also be subject to that organization’s ownership, employment, contributor, or publishing policies.
7. Curiendo intellectual property
The Curiendo Platform, the Curiendo app, their software, interfaces, branding, designs, templates, documentation, and other protected materials are owned by Docyrus, Inc. or its licensors except where otherwise stated.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of Curiendo technology, branding, or other proprietary materials to users.
8. AI-generated and adapted content
The Curiendo Platform may help generate or adapt educational material using AI.
Generated output does not automatically carry a guarantee of accuracy, originality, suitability, accessibility, or legal clearance.
Users responsible for reviewing, assigning, publishing, licensing, or selling content must verify it to the extent appropriate for its intended use.
AI generation does not override copyrights, licenses, school policies, learner protections, review requirements, or other rights and obligations.
9. Library, Public Library, and paid services
Certain Curiendo Platform services, subscriptions, content, licenses, credits, creator services, or Public Library features may require payment.
Pricing, billing periods, renewal terms, refund conditions, license scope, creator revenue arrangements, and other commercial conditions will be displayed at the time of purchase or specified in a separate agreement.
Content acquired through the Library or the Public Library may be subject to separate license terms concerning assignment, adaptation, redistribution, attribution, duration, audience, or commercial use.
Children may not independently purchase Public Library content through learner-facing experiences.
School-required learning should not depend on a family purchasing optional Public Library content.
10. Third-party services and content
The Curiendo Platform may interact with third-party services or contain content supplied by third parties. Those services or materials may be subject to separate terms and privacy practices.
Docyrus, Inc. is not responsible for third-party services outside its reasonable control, although the Curiendo Platform may restrict or remove integrations or content where necessary for safety, legal compliance, or service integrity.
11. Availability and changes
We work to provide a reliable service but cannot guarantee that the Curiendo Platform will always be available without interruption, delay, or error.
We may modify, suspend, restrict, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for product development, security, legal compliance, safety, maintenance, or service operations.
Where changes materially affect paid services or institutional commitments, applicable customer agreements may provide additional rights or notice requirements.
12. Suspension and termination
Access may be restricted or terminated for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, security risks, unlawful activity, non-payment, or conduct that threatens learners, users, organizations, Curiendo, or others.
Where appropriate, information may be retained after account closure when necessary for legitimate educational records, contractual obligations, legal requirements, safety investigations, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
13. Disclaimers
The Curiendo Platform is provided subject to the applicable agreement and law.
Except where expressly stated otherwise, we do not guarantee that every generated output, recommendation, third-party resource, Public Library item, educational interpretation, or automated analysis will be error-free or suitable for every learner, school, or context.
Nothing in the Curiendo Platform constitutes medical, psychological, legal, or other regulated professional advice.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, liability relating to the Curiendo Platform will be subject to the limitations contained in the applicable service agreement, order form, Public Library terms, or other governing agreement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
